Show coming up!
/It is so much fun to prepare for a new show! I have the pleasure of showing this year with another photographer, Farhad Vakilitabar, an glass artist, Marie Foucault-Phipps and a ceramics artist, Tina Suszynski. For the next few blogs I will be featuring their work as it is impressive and unusual. If you're in Denver, CO on Friday the 1st of November please join us at the Mortgage West Gallery, 1705 South Pearl Street (Mexico and South Pearl). Lots of munchies and great art!
Barcelona, Rambla Catalunya
/On of the passions of people everywhere is people watching and Barcelona is no exception! Tapas bars line the paseo where people can watch the busy, or wandering, passers by. Unlike many touristic places, the Ramblas are used by locals as well as visitors. It is delightful to see the mix of elegant business suits and fashionably dresses women intermingling with the short shorts and baggy pants of the travelers. Characters abound, people pass and an occasional street musician will stop and play in hopes of a tip in the hat.
Arches in Capri
/The Isle of Capri. Famous for Tiberius, shopping, beautiful vistas and countless steps on the trails winding around and through the two hills that make up the island. It wasSo worth the effort to take a ferry to the island and next time I would stay a few days, or a month, to really indulge in the beauty of this treasure!
Arrival in Naples
/Our arrival in Naples to begin our hiking trip was fairly uneventful until we went to lunch and had amazing wood fired oven pizza and wine. After a nice nap we hit the pavement and walked from the old palace we are staying in to the marina, had a cocktail and went to sit down at a restaurant to dine when "pop, boom, bang" the fireworks began to celebrate our arrival, ahem, I mean to celebrate the End of Summer. I think, as in Spain, this is the weekend when small boats are dry docked or pulled to shore and prepared for winter.
