Beginner Image Transfer Workshop
This workshop is for all skill levels but is aimed at the beginner or anyone who needs a brush up on their technique. This is a hands-on workshop where you will learn the skills to produce unique pigment transfers on a variety of sub-straights. We will also focus on final top coats to enhance your work. These small workshops are limited to six adults for two days. Though no experience is necessary, this workshop was created for artists, art or commercial photographers, students, teachers, and anyone looking for alternative hand-pulled print-making techniques. We will use the DASS Art transfer medium to create these works and materials will be provided as a package for the workshop.
You will learn the skills to transfer to wood, metal, Dibond, acrylic and DassYupo paper. We will create crackled surfaces, modern tintypes, and a resin project. A variety of techniques will be taught to create unique, one of a kind prints. We will be using an alcohol-based emulsion so if you are allergic or sensitive to ethyl alcohol you might not want to sign up for this workshop.
